Kevin Hobgood-Brown AM is the Chair of the University of Sydney Vietnam Institute's Members’ Council.

Kevin is a corporate advisor and company director. He is the Chair of the Advisory Board of the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney and is the Chair of the Advisoru Management Committee of the Institute for Australian and Chinese Arts and Culture at Western Sydney University.
Kevin was an international law firm partner for 18 years, in which capacity he had postings in Beijing, San Francisco, Taipei and Sydney. Kevin taught at the Law School of Peking University from 1983 to 1987. Kevin moved to Sydney from Beijing in 1996, where he has been based ever since.
Kevin has Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the United States and a Diploma in Chinese Law.
Kevin was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2016 for his contributions to Australia-China relations, tertiary education, international business development and natural resources sector. He was elected an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities in 2023.
