Our research is guided by six strategic IMPACT priorities that collectively drive innovation, sustainability, and societal transformation. Our overarching end goal is to enable healthier people, resilient ecosystems, and thriving, low‑carbon communities by turning interdisciplinary research into scalable policies, technologies, and practices that measurably reduce disease burden, strengthen climate and economic resilience, and accelerate equitable, sustainable development.

Our research aims to:

  • Decrease infectious disease transmission and AMR prevalence; increase early detection and treatment success.
  • Decrease Greenhouse Gas emissions and waste; increase circular resource use, water security, and adaptive capacity of cities/communities.
  • Increase equitable access to diagnostics, therapies, vaccines, and digital/AI tools with demonstrated safety, effectiveness, and fairness.
  • Increase cultural participation, media innovation, and behaviour change that support public health and sustainability.
