Prof. John Prins and Prof. Annemarie Hennessy met with leaders at Hanoi Medical University
During a recent visit to Hanoi, Professor John Prins – Dean of Medicine and Health - University of Sydney, and Professor Annemarie Hennessy – Deputy Dean, from the University of Sydney, held important meetings with key strategic partners, including major hospitals and leading medical universities.
Vietnam is rapidly developing, with modern hospitals, highly skilled healthcare professionals, and internationally recognized research infrastructure – creating a strong foundation for expanding collaboration in medical education and research.
Throughout the meetings, the professors reaffirmed the University of Sydney’s commitment to enhancing research capacity, developing high-quality healthcare professionals, and advancing impactful studies that contribute to community health and well-being. These priorities align closely with Vietnam’s goals to improve public health and strengthen its healthcare system.
As part of this collaboration, the University of Sydney will work with the World Health Organization and Vietnamese partners to deliver robust scientific evidence based on practical, high-quality research.
